Cryogenics as a Service: fast, accessible measurements for quantum development
Setting up cryogenic infrastructure takes time, money and experienced staff. For many research groups and companies, this creates a real barrier to entering the quantum technology field. Cryogenics as a Service offers a simple and flexible alternative by giving rapid access to both measurements and infrastructure.
Send us your samples for predefined or custom cryogenic measurements – from resistance and IV characteristics to resonator tests and thermometer calibration – and get fast results delivered online with raw data, plots and expert input you can use immediately.
This way you:
- Lower costs, paying only for a specific project
- Reduce risk and add capacity when needed
- Get expert support when you need it
- Choose a more sustainable path with shared infrastructure and certified green energy
- If you are setting up your lab, get results while you wait
Configure resistance measurements online
You can now configure your low-temperature resistance measurements directly on our website. Simply click together your request, see real-time pricing, and instantly request a quote. With just a few steps, you can set up your measurement and move quickly from idea to data.
With the configurator, you can:
- Choose standard measurement setups
- Adjust key parameters (like temperature range or number of samples)
- See transparent pricing and automatic volume discounts
- Submit your request in minutes
You then ship your sample, and we deliver high-quality cryogenic data so you can stay focused on development. Our team also supports custom protocols for measurements that go beyond the standard.
How we perform cryogenic resistance measurements
Understanding how resistance changes with temperature is key to developing superconducting and quantum devices. What happens at low temperatures often determines whether the device works or not.
We use an AC lock-in technique with a SynkTek AB device in a four-point configuration, combined with temperature sweeps from about 50 mK upwards under well-controlled conditions. This setup provides high sensitivity, even for ultra-low resistances, and excellent noise rejection, making it ideal for fragile signals.
The result is clean, reproducible, low-noise data. From this, you can determine values such as the superconducting transition temperature (Tc) and residual resistivity.

To get started, you select your parameters in the online configurator, view transparent pricing and request the service. You then send us your bonded sample, and we take care of the rest – from measurements to fully post-processed results.
