Enhancing qubit performance with advanced cryogenics

A ConScience qubit (QiB0) over several days in an L-Type Rapid, in repeated cycles at 50 mK: which noise sources cost coherence, and what shielding recovers.

Application note: Cryogenic environment optimization for superconducting transmon qubit characterization

We are excited to share our latest findings from an investigation into the influence of the electromagnetic sample environment on the qubit relaxation time (T1).

Using our L-Type Rapid cryostat, we measured a ConScience superconducting qubit (QiB0) over several days, in multiple cycles at 50 mK, to explore how different noise sources can affect qubit performance. We show how appropriate shielding can effectively mitigate noise, leading to improved coherence times.

This study highlights the remarkable efficiency of the L-Type Rapid in optimizing system architecture and design for superconducting qubits. Its fast turnaround allows users to conduct multiple testing cycles per day, significantly accelerating development and innovation.

We look forward to seeing how these insights will help shape the future of superconducting qubits and accelerate progress toward fault-tolerant quantum computers.
